TUNING into the need to be more sustainable, Elan Homes has reused and recycled furniture from a previous property for its latest show home in Lancashire.
A four-bedroom detached Stratford style show home is now open at Whittingham Fold in Goosnargh, dressed by Stanza Style.
It features furniture, soft furnishings and artwork from previous show homes, with new wallpaper, light fittings and curtains.
Marie Morris, sales director for Elan Homes in the North, said: “Fast interiors and homeware enable people to keep up with the latest interiors trends, but it’s not sustainable long term. Investing in statement furnishings that can be refreshed and revitalised is a much better alternative for the planet. A lot of the furniture and soft furnishings in our new show home at Whittingham Fold was in a previous show home but with some clever styling has been given a fresh new look. Viewing the show home will help buyers imagine themselves living in a new home in Goosnargh, giving them an insight into the quality and finish of our homes, while also giving them an idea of how they can style their new home with the furniture they already own.”
The Stratford is a double fronted home, offering 1,489 sq ft of living space.
The lounge is one side of the hallway, with the dedicated dining room on the other. Both have a feature bay window.
The combined kitchen and family room, offers direct access to the rear garden via French doors.
A handy utility and convenient cloakroom complete the ground floor.
Upstairs, two of the four bedrooms have the luxury of an en-suite, leaving the family bathroom to serve just two bedrooms.
Alex Egan, from Stanza Style, said: “We love trying to help save the planet and one way is to reuse existing items and create a new scheme that’s totally refreshed and revitalised, which is what we have done for Elan at Whittingham Fold. We’ve used soft green and duck egg tones to give the show home a lovely, fresh country elegance – perfect for the village location.
“For example, the open plan kitchen and dining room is very much the hub of this home. We’ve furnished the space to reflect this with a rustic white round table and a neutral grey sofa.”
Upstairs, the main bedroom features an oversized winged headboard, with mirrored bedsides and lamps for a sense of glamour.
Keeping with the modern country feel, one of the bedrooms features wooden and mirrored bedsides; while in another there’s rattan headboard to coordinate with natural wood and white bedsides.
The remaining bedroom has been styled with a music lover in mind and is complete with bespoke vinyl wall art, a mixing desk, microphone, guitar and headphones.
Whittingham Fold offers a choice of three and four-bedroom homes. Current prices start from £259,995 for a three-bedroom semi-detached Glossop.
To help get people moving, Elan is offering a range of tailored incentives with options including up to £12,000 towards a year’s mortgage repayments or the chance to use part exchange to climb the housing ladder.
Whittingham Fold offers the chance to enjoy the rural idyl surrounded by rolling countryside while embracing village living. There are local stores and supermarkets nearby, while Longridge and Preston are also within easy reach.
The show home is open Thursday to Monday from 10am to 5pm. For more information see https://www.elan-homes.co.uk/developments/whittingham-fold.
