A BIGGER home and garden is a must for many left reassessing their housing needs post-lockdown and for those in search of extra space, a new home in Worcester could be the key.
Elan Homes has just released a new phase of four and five-bedroom homes at its popular Stableford development. The eagerly awaited homes are in demand, with Elan’s sales team trying to accommodate as many viewings as possible.
Regional Sales Director for Elan Homes Tracey Ball said: “Since re-opening our developments by appointment only we’ve received a flurry of enquiries from people who’ve reassessed their housing needs during life in lockdown. General feedback is that buyers want more space inside and out. This echoes research from Rightmove which found that 63% of buyers want access to a bigger garden and 43% are looking for a bigger home, with 36% requiring better home workspace.
“We’ve just released the second phase of our Stableford development, including large and luxurious four and five-bedroom homes and have been inundated with enquiries from potential purchasers. Demand is such that we’ve struggled to make appointments for everyone who’s expressed an interest to visit the development.”
Among the homes in the new phase is a five-bedroom Chesham, offering 1,765 sq ft of living space, available from £475,000.
It includes a dining room with feature bay window; lounge with French doors leading to the rear garden; open plan breakfast kitchen and family room with bi-fold doors opening onto the garden. A utility and cloakroom complete the ground floor. On the first floor, two of the bedrooms have an en-suite, leaving the family bathroom to serve the remaining three bedrooms.
There’s also the generously proportioned Lincoln, spanning 1,963 sq ft of living space, priced from £515,000.
Recognising the importance of access to outside space, both the lounge and open plan kitchen, dining and family room have French doors opening out onto the garden. There’s also a separate dining room, a utility and cloakroom.
Again two of the five bedrooms have an en-suite to complement the family bathroom, with the main bedroom also boasting a dressing room.
“Those who perhaps don’t need five bedrooms could use one as a study for regular or occasional home working. Alternatively, the extra room could be used as a playroom for the children or a home gym,” Tracey suggested.
Elan’s Stableford development also includes a choice of three and four-bedroom homes with current prices from £375,000.
Close to the city centre, including Worcestershire Royal Hospital, the homes benefit from good local schools and easy access to the M5.
