DOZENS of people have registered interest in just eight new homes being built in Lichfield.
Based on demand, Elan Homes is preparing to release the new build homes at The Sidings on Rotten Row for sale “off plan” (from November 3). They will be followed next year by apartments being created within Lorne House, which was most recently used as a gym.
Elan regional sales director Tracey Ball said: “We’ve been receiving enquiries from potential purchasers looking for a new home in Lichfield since we announced the acquisition of the site last autumn. With only eight new homes available, we’ll be giving priority to those who have registered their interest when the properties are released for sale at the end of the month. We’d therefore encourage anyone looking for a two or three-bedroom home to contact us without delay so that they can be in with a chance of owning one of the properties.”
Prices for the new Elan homes at The Sidings will be announced at the launch.
Full details including floor plans of individual homes will be available via the website, along with a site plan and digital brochure with information about the specification and features offered within the properties.
All new Elan homes, including those being built in Lichfield, achieve a minimum EPC (energy performance certificate) rating of B, making them eligible for green mortgages, which can offer lower interest rates than a standard mortgage.
“One of the things that sets a new build house apart from an older property is that it will generally be more energy efficient. The homes we build are well insulated, with highly efficient heating systems and integrated top brand name appliances included as standard. These features could mean lower mortgage repayments as well as cheaper running costs,” Tracey added.
“Plus, buying in the early stages of a development tends to offer buyers greater options for personalisation. Subject to build stage, buyers will be able to make their home their own from the start by selecting from a range of options and upgrades. This includes choosing the finish of the kitchen, bathroom tiles, wardrobes and flooring.”
As the development name suggests, the homes at The Sidings are being built close to the Birmingham Cross City railway line. Lichfield City and Lichfield Trent Valley stations are within easy reach, making the development an ideal commuter base, plus the amenities of Lichfield city centre are just a five-minute walk away.
