THE opening of a new show home near Market Drayton will be music to buyers’ ears.
Brook Meadow by Elan Homes is the first new homes development in the Staffordshire village of Loggerheads in more than a decade.
Homes initially sold “off plan” but Elan has rewarded eager buyers for their patience –opening a professionally styled and fully furnished Stratford show home and a finished example of the Brandon house type. Both are four-bedroom detached designs.
Alex Egan, from interior designers Stanza Style, said: “Loggerheads is a semi-rural area close to Market Drayton and Stoke on Trent and so we’ve used a colour palette of soft green and duck egg tones with lot of delicate florals to create a show home that has a fresh country feel without being old fashioned.”
In the lounge the designers have used feature wallpaper agapanthus with a soft blue and green element. Cushions add a soft mustard tone, while white tables give the room a fresh feel and black lamps offer a sense of drama.
“The open plan kitchen and dining room is very much the hub of this home and we’ve furnished the space to reflect this with a rustic white round table, bar stools and a neutral grey sofa. Barley stem and poppy head patterned wallpaper to the feature wall coordinates well with the sandbrook sage kitchen,” Alex explained.
“This relaxed feel is a contrast with the formal dining room, which is furnished with statement oak furniture including glass-topped table and coordinating console table.”
Alex added: “We’ve imagined a keen gardener lives in the property and so the utility is very botanical with allotment themed wallpaper and pipework planters. The country feel continues in the cloakroom, where we’ve used wallpaper depicting a country lane.”
Upstairs, the master bedroom is styled in grey and dusty blue with an oversized winged headboard and curtains featuring silver thread. A beautiful mirrored dressing table, studded ottoman, string lampshades and glass lamps create a sense of glamour.
The second bedroom has an injection of colour with a delicate floral mustard feature wallpaper, plus coordinating cushions and blind to offset the white bed linen. Wooden and mirrored bedsides give this guest room a fresh, modern country feel.
“We’ve thought about the hobbies and interests of the people who might live in this house and styled the bedrooms to reflect this. There’s a teenager’s bedroom with lots of botanicals, accessorised with hanging baskets with plants in. The bedsides are natural wood and white to keep it light and coordinate with the rattan headboard from Masion du Monde, while fur-type fabrics add texture to complete the look,” Alex added.
“There’s also a music themed room styled in grey with a hint of blue complete with bespoke vinyl wall art, a mixing desk, microphone, guitar and headphones.”
The main bathroom is accessorised with a blue/green seafoam colour with lots of greenery and a collection of vintage mirrors.
Located on Muckletstone Road, Brook Meadow offers three and four-bedroom homes, with current prices from £224,995 for a three-bedroom semi-detached Ripley style property. It’s available with carpets and turf to rear garden included in the price. Elan will even offer contributions towards a deposit, legal fees and stamp duty.
