FROM Manchester to Manhattan via Wonderland and a sweet shop, buyers will be on cloud nine with a visit to two new show homes in Middleton.
Elan Homes has just launched its latest development on Boothroyden Road, close to the River Irk. Known as Millfields, it offers a choice of two, three and four-bedroom homes, showcased by two show homes, available to view by appointment only.
Marie Morris, sales director for Elan Homes in the North, said: “Middleton is a thriving town with all of the amenities homeowners want and need close to home. It’s also within easy reach of Manchester, making it an affordable option for those who still need to commute to work into the city centre.
“We appreciate that home is an emotional as well as a financial investment and so we’ve thought carefully about the people who might live at Millfields when styling our show homes. We’ve paid particular attention to the children’s bedrooms as it’s important for younger family members to be included in the excitement of moving.”
Elan tasked Stanza Style with dressing the show homes – a four-bedroom detached double fronted Brandon and a three-bedroom semi-detached Howden.
Styled in neo mint and blush pink, the Brandon has a fresh, soft feel that’s very much on trend.
In the lounge there’s cloud patterned feature wallpaper with white washed furniture. A picture window mirror above the console table helps emphasise the spaciousness of the room, which spans from the front to the rear of the property.
In the kitchen diner there’s an oak table with linen carver chairs.
“We’ve accentuated the practicality of the utility by hanging a drying rail in there and added a woven laundry basket,” Alex Egan, from Stanza Style, explained.
“It helps people appreciate the advantages of having a dedicated space for their laundry, which most older homes don’t have.”
Styled in neo mint and soft mushroom, with a feature beaded headboard and crystal affect light with glass lamp, bedroom one has an upmarket, mature feel to it.
There’s a guest bedroom with hydrangea patterned feature wallpaper, petal effect ceramic lamps, white wicker headboard and grey washed furniture.
“Middleton has great transport links to Manchester via the Metrolink network and so we’ve created a tram inspired bedroom complete with a train track headboard and an industrial feel to the furniture. It’s a real contrast to the sweetshop inspired bedroom with candy striped wallpaper, artwork made with real sweets, mini-bunting halfway around the room and wooden till,” Alex added.
The three-bedroom Howden is styled in blue and gold.
The main bedroom has feature blue wallpaper with a gold headboard and bedsides for a glamorous look.
There’s a New York inspired bedroom, designed with a pre-teen in mind. This room includes chevron wallpaper, 3D effect taxi artwork and American accessories.
The third bedroom is designed with a young girl in mind. Styled in monochrome with a touch of blue, it has an Alice in Wonderland theme with feature wallpaper with Alice and the White Rabbit.
Current prices at Millfields start from £184,995 for a two-bedroom Beeston style property.
