HOUSE-hunters who have registered an interest in Elan Homes’ luxury development in Castle Cary, Somerset, will soon get the chance to choose their perfect property.

Work is well underway on the first phase of Weavers Field in Castle Cary with building work started on the initial plots along with the show home, which is set open at the end of July.

Such progress means those who signalled an interest in the development of the 37 new homes when it was announced will soon be among the first to view the brochure and layouts and be given an opportunity to buy ‘off plan’.

Weavers Field is being built in Station Road on the three-acre site which was formerly Wells Farm. Of the 37 three and four-bedroom properties, 24 will be private, with 13 affordable homes.

Demand is expected to be high with much to attract buyers to the development, including its proximity to good schools, excellent local amenities and a mainline station within walking distance, making it ideal for families and commuters.

In addition to the new homes, Elan will be investing around £130,000 into a wide range of nearby amenities with funding allocated to, among other things, the local community hall, changing rooms and an equipped play area.
