NEW homes in Devon with potential for stunning sea views are now on sale.
Elan Homes has aptly named its latest development in Ilfracombe Seascape, owing to its prime position with views over the town towards the Torrs, the Bristol Channel and the distant Welsh coastline.
The new homes are being built on land off The Shields, less than a mile from Ilfracombe Harbour, Tunnels Beach, Cheyne Beach and Rapparee Cove.
Elan regional sales director Tracey Ball said: “Our new homes in Ilfracombe are taking shape in a location that’s perfect to enjoy all that the seaside town has to offer – not least views of the rugged coastline which inspired the development name. While we’ve just released the first phase of properties for sale, the homes have been keenly awaited for some years. Local people have been eager to see the scheme progress and potential purchasers have done their homework. We have a growing list of people who want to live here, including those who are waiting for the larger properties to be released for sale. Regardless of which style of property or where it sits within the development, buyers can be assured each will enjoy a quality specification and will be finished to a high standard.”
Seascape will eventually feature 51 two, three and four-bedroom homes, including bungalows and stunning three-storey properties with balconies.
They offer a modern, energy efficient alternative to the predominantly older housing stock, typically Victorian, Georgian and Edwardian properties in Ilfracombe.
Current availability includes the two-bedroom Atherington style bungalow, available as semi-detached or detached home, priced from £315,000.
It features a combined lounge and dining room, with Juliet balcony to help make the most of the views, plus a well-equipped separate kitchen. The two bedrooms, which are served by a sleek modern bathroom, are at the rear of the property. The main bedroom benefits from French doors leading out on to the garden.
There’s also an integral garage at lower ground level.
“The first few homes are almost ready to move into – perfect for those who want to make the most of the summer on the coast,” Tracey added.
“To help inspire buyers we have a show home available to view by appointment so that they can enjoy a taste of life in a brand new home in Ilfracombe.”
