WITH shops, schools, open space and the train station all within a mile, new homes in Tamworth offer buyers the chance to choose their pace of life.
Elan Homes is making good progress with its Dosthill Gate development, on Dosthill Road. Around half of the homes are now sold and many of them are now occupied.
Elan regional sales director Tracey Ball said: “When it comes to location, our new homes in Tamworth tick all the right boxes and more. They’re situated in an aspirational neighbourhood, where people want to live, attracting a mix of locals keen to stay in the area, along with those who are relocating from other areas including Birmingham. They’re ideal for people who want to reduce their reliance on the car as there’s almost everything buyers could need within a mile or so. There are primary and secondary schools nearby, making Dosthill Gate a great option for families. When it comes to shopping, Morrisons is around a mile away, while the Ventura Retail Park is just a six-minute drive from the development. Wilnecote train station is only a five-minute walk away and offers direct links to Birmingham New Street in around 25 minutes including walking to the station. For those who love the outdoors, Dosthill Park Local Nature Reserve offers 12 hectares of space to explore including a children’s play area, walkways and sculpture trail.”
To help ensure the area remains somewhere people love living, Elan has agreed to invest more than £130,000 locally. This includes a Community Infrastructure Levy contribution in excess of £100,000, payable to the local authority who’ll decide how the funding will be used, plus a further £30,000 bio-diversity payment.
At Dosthill Gate Elan is building two, three and four-bedroom homes, with current prices from £253,000.
A three-bedroom, three-storey Thurston Max, is available priced from £319,995, with the chance to own a show home in this style, with flooring throughout and turfed rear garden, from £324,995.
Three-bedroom Brocton style homes, set out over two floors, are available in terraced and semi-detached designs, priced from £310,000.
The homes achieve Energy Performance Certificate ratings of B, with the potential for those who move from an older house to a brand new one likely to save around £2,200 a year on their energy bills according to the HBF (Home Builders Federation).
They’re ready to move into and won’t require costly repairs and renovations an older property is likely to need.
Selected homes at Dosthill Gate can be purchased with a deposit boost or Own New Rate Reducer.
“Our partnership with Own New essentially means we pay a subsidy so that our customers can access better interest rates and enjoy reduced monthly payments during the initial mortgage period,” Tracey explained. “The scheme is exclusive to new build homes. Alternatively, we could boost the customer’s deposit, helping their money go further.”
Show homes at Dosthill Gate are open Thursday to Monday from 10am to 5pm. For more information, see https://www.elan-homes.co.uk/developments/dosthill-gate.
