NEW homes in the Somerset town of Glastonbury will launch off plan in response to demand, Elan Homes has confirmed.
Interest in the development, known as Avalon, has been building since the homebuilder acquired almost five acres of land off Old Wells Road last year.
Due to the level of enquiries, Elan is releasing a small number of properties “off plan” and by appointment only via Killens estate agency in Wells in from April 8.
Elan regional sales director Tracey Ball said: “Buyers in the Glastonbury area have been keenly awaiting the launch of our homes at Avalon. In just one weekend we received around 30 enquiries from potential purchasers eager to find out more about the properties. We’re working towards opening a show home in the summer, but to give people a chance to reserve at the earliest opportunity we’re releasing the first phase “off plan.”
Avalon will offer 42 homes for private sale, including a mix of two to five-bedroom homes including terraced, semi-detached and detached designs. Prices for the properties will be announced at the launch.
The homes will be built from materials including red brick, natural stone, reconstituted stone and render, with roofs made from slate and clay and concrete tiles.
“Elan has a proven track record of building quality homes in Somerset and beyond, including developments in Somerton and Castle Cary,” Tracey added.
“Those who reserve a new home at Avalon before it is is physically built can make it their own from the very start. Our homes feature a high specification with plenty of opportunities for customers to make their home their own by choosing from a rage of standard options and upgrades. These include the kitchen finish, bathroom tiles, wardrobes and flooring.”
Elan will integrate existing features into the new neighbourhood. For example, part of an orchard will be retained and a small “village green” will be created. Additional planting will be carried out to ensure the development is a nature rich biodiverse community.
Recreational open space, including a children’s play area, will form part of the development with Elan contributing almost £63,000 towards open space provision.
Potential purchasers can register their interest in the homes via the website https://www.elan-homes.co.uk/developments/avalon/ or by calling 01458888373.
